During an the Xbox Extra Life 2016 stream on twitch.tv, some information on the newest installment to the Crackdown series was revealed.

According to Dave Johnson, Microsoft Studios art director, Crackdown 3 will be released holiday 2017 “or earlier”.  Johnson went on to state that Crackdown 3 will support 4k resolutions on the new Xbox Scorpio, which is also set to release holiday 2017.

Crackdown 3 was originally set for a 2016 release but, due to the crowded holiday season for the Xbox already, was pushed back. This will make it seven years since the release of Crackdown 3. What are your thoughts on the news of Crackdown 3’s release date?
