Over the past week, Namco Bandai released a mysterious teaser trailer titled New Project. The video showcases dark illustrations, with no actual explaination other than #PrepardToDine. While this sounded like a typo of the famous Prepare To Die quote of the Souls series, it was unclear of the project’s nature.

In the latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu (and translated by Gematsu), the mysterious title finally has some details. The mysterious game, titled Code Vein, is a vampire RPG developed by the team responsible God Eater series.

Set in a post apocalyptic future, players take control of vampires with supernatural abilities called Revenants. Living in an isolated society called Vein, Revenants must collect blood to prevent turning into a monster called a “Lost”.

Gameplay will focus of close quarters combat with weapons such as swords, and will use the “Buddy” system while exploring dungeons.

At the moment, Code Vein is only 30% done, so don’t expect a release until 2018.
