Final Fantasy XV: Pax Gameplay

There has already been a lot of new content from Pax 2016 so far, but gameplay footage of Final Fantasy XV has made us extremely excited. (To save time, we’ve started the video at the point the gameplay begins). The gameplay lasts about 30 mins so make sure you’ve got some time set aside if you want to watch all of it.

To prevent any spoilers to the main story, the gameplay goes towards dungeon gameplay in an abandoned mine. From the start of the gameplay we see that players have the option to drive the car freely, not on-rail which is a nice plus. From what is said in the vehicle, the driving mechanics seem to be pretty detailed with visible vehicle damage and even characters flying to the front seat on short stops.

If you’ve played the demo you’ll be familiar with the layout of the combat already, but this time you get to see your team ganging up on goblins. Towards the end we do see massive robot enemies which look very interesting in terms of how to deal with. According to the presentation mechanical enemies have limbs that can be destroyed so there will be different ways to deal with different enemies.

Towards the end of the presentation there are technical difficulties so the gameplay was cut short.

Final Fantasy XV will be available November 29, 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One. If you preorder you will receive a copy of A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV, which is a nice addition.
