It looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to jump into Gravity Rush 2. According to the Playstation Blog, the game’s developer Kiichiro Toyama stated that the developers wanted to release the sequel “at the very best time”. Instead of the original launch date of December 2nd, it will release January 20th, 2017.
To compensate for the delay, the DLC pack that was intended to release with the game will be free. The DLC mention will contain an “additional story” set in the Gravity Rush 2 universe.
This delay may play out perfectly seeing as the holiday season is filled with triple A titles such as Final Fantasy, The Last Guardian, and various others; the lack of name power could cause the game to get lost in the surge of new titles.
