Indie Game Initiative: The Adventure Pals

We here at know that there are many independently created games that either don’t receive recognition because they don’t have the allure of larger games and get lost in the sea of games, or never finish development because of lack of funds. As part of our new program Indie Game Initiative, our goal is to help bring attention to games that we believe are well deserving of you time, and money. We will further elaborate on this program later though. As the first game in our program, we present The Adventure Pals.

The Adventure Pals is a quirky game about friendship involving a small boy and the crazy adventures he goes on with his giraffe and pet rock. The boy must explore his childhood as he goes on an epic quest to rescue his papa from being turned into a hot dog.

The Adventure Pals is a lovable side scrolling adventure game involving a small boy (the player), his pet giraffe, and pet rock trying to save the boy’s dad from being turned into a hotdog. Each member provides a funny, yet useful, way to overcome obstacles. Add in a level system to it, and the game looks and plays very well. The game is currently still being worked on, but from what we’ve played we are more than ready for it’s full release.

Currently this game is still on Kickstarter with a few days left to meet their goal. You can watch our playthrough to see why this game is one that we support. If you like what you see, try the demo on their Kickstarter and help them meet their funding goals.
