For years the NBA Live roster has been set to reflect only the NBA roster, until today.

EA has announced today that much like the FIFA series, the NBA Live series will now include the female league. In the upcoming NBA Live 18, the game will include the WNBA teams.

According to the press release, WNBA teams:

“will be playable in NBA LIVE 18, launching this fall on Xbox One and PlayStation®4. The WNBA will be available in WNBA Play Now, and teams and player skills have been specifically balanced to reflect the unique playstyle of the league and skills of its players. This is the first time the official WNBA’s roster of teams and players will appear in a video game, and will be available only in NBA LIVE 18.” 

From the sounds of the press release, it doesn’t sound like WNBA teams will be able to face off against the NBA teams. NBA Live 18 releases this fall for PS4 and Xbox One, with a demo releasing August 11th.
