Since Pokemon Red and Blue, there have been Pokemon exclusive to either game. The newest Pokemon Sun and Moon games follow that tradition wit their own exclusive Pokemon. The only way to get these Pokemon are to trade between games to get these Pokemon, which unlike in the past doesn’t require a transfer cable.

The cover Pokemon of the Sun edition has more than earned that position. It is said that Solgaleo’s body contains massive amounts of energy, and shines when it is active.

Solgaleo is refereed to as “The Beast That Devours the Sun”

According to some sources when it uses certain moves it enters “Radiant Sun Phase”.

Lycanroc “Midday”

While its base form Rockruff is in both Sun and Moon, the form that it evolves to will differ.

Rockruff can be found in both Sun and Moon, yet the form it evolves to differs.

Lycanroc “Midday” is found in the Sun Edition of the title.

Lunala

Lunala is commonly referred to as “the beast that calls the moon.”

Like Solgaleo, Lunala is the cover Pokemon for the Moon Edition. Lunala constantly absorbs light, and turns it into energy.

Just like Solgaleo, when certain moves are used Lunala enters “Full Moon Phase”.

Lycanroc “Midnight Form”

Like Lycanroc “Midday Form” the “Midnight Form is exlusive; only to the Moon edition.
