Switch Exclusives We Can’t Wait for in 2019

0

Being only two years old, the Nintendo Switch has provided more incredible games than we can count. Even if you exclude the re-releases of titles like Pokken and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you’ve got Splatoon 2, Mario Oddysey, and Breath of the Wild just to name a few. Now if you had a backlog of games already, I’m sorry to tell you that your list will grow with how stacked Nintendo’s 2019 line up.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 (Working Title)

Mario’s had his time this gen, and now it’s time for Luigi to take the spotlight once again in Luigi’s Mansion 3. Using his trusty Poltergust vacuum, Luigi is set to suck up all ghosts that come in his way….I’m sorry I couldn’t find any better way to say the plot. While the plot is still unclear, gameplay will follow similar mechanic combining elements from the original game and Dark Moon. Here’s looking to see Luigi take center stage in 2019.

Yoshi’s Crafted World

While we’re taking the attention away from that smug plumber, Yoshi’s Wooly World returns in Yoshi’s Crafted World. Yoshi’s Crafted World takes players back to the crafted world of the Yoshi’s, but Kanek and Baby Bowser are looking to cause trouble by stealing the gem set stone. Much like the 3DS title, players can customize their Yoshi in the various handicraft costumes found throughout your adventures. We’re more than ready to join the Yoshi’s March 29th, 2019!

Town

Game Freak, the developer behind the overly popular Pokémon series is changing up the formula with their upcoming Switch exclusive Town. The game focuses on a town of villagers who must defend their homes from invading monsters. Players will be able to summon villagers to use their abilities to defeat the various enemies. What makes this title so interesting is that is everything takes place in the one town. While this may sound like a negative to many, after seeing what Game Freak has done with the Pokémon series over the years, we have faith that Town will be a massive hit! We look forward to entering Town when it releases in 2019!

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

It’s been years since we’ve seen a console based Fire Emblem game, so the announcement of Three Houses has us speechless! Three Houses is set in Fódlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises their power over the land. As always, the game will focus on strategical approaches to the battlefield to succeed. What really makes this title interesting is the ability to move entire units of troops! We’ll see how this plays out when Three Houses releases Spring 2019!

Animal Crossing(Switch)

With Isabelle joining the Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, Tom Nook had to find a way to the Switch; and Animal Crossing (Switch) is the best way we can think of. While there’s been little released about the latest addition, it seems that the Switch version will play much like the original animal crossing titles; and may include elements from other Animal Crossing titles such as the mobile title. We expect to see a release date for Animal Crossing (Switch) in 2019.

Metroid Prime 4

I know, Metroid Prime 4 hasn’t actually received a release date as of yet so the odds of a 2019 launch is a stretch; or is it?  Originally teased at E3 2017, little has been revealed regarding the progress of the game. This changed not too long ago when we learned that the development for the game has been restarted; so the release window looks to be even further away now. Yes this may sound depressing at the moment, their reasoning is gives me hope for the game. “Although this is very regrettable we must let you know that the current development progress has not reached the standards we seek in a sequel to Metroid Prime series,”. Hopefully we can still get a late 2019 release of Metroid Prime 4!

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 3 – The Black Order

After years of waiting, a new Ultimate Alliance is finally coming! While it may be a little late to the party as the Marvel cinematic universe has in (some eyes) passed it’s peak, it is still a incredible surprise to see a new Ultimate Alliance title coming; and exclusively to the Switch seems like a perfect combination! With a massive roster ranging from the X-Men to the Avengers, and local co-op, we’re more than ready to take on Thanos and The Black Order.

Bayonetta 3

Now we may be jumping the gun (or two) much like with Metroid Prime 4, but why not have fun with it? The third installment in the Bayonetta series has been confirmed as a Switch exclusive, and we are more than excited to see the title release; hopefully in 2019. There has little been mentioned regarding the Umbra Witch, however who knows what could be revealed at E3 2019?

Daemon x Machina

The Nintendo Labo robo kit really had me wanting a giant robot game for the Switch, and we’ll be getting that from Daemon x Machina. From the mind of Kenichiro Tsukuda, the main producer of the PS2 Armored Core titles, you can expect a top tie mech game! Based on the trailers that have been revealed so far, this game can’t come soon enough!

Pokemon for Nintendo Switch

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you know that the next Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2019. While Pokemon Let’s Go was a fun game, the 2019 Pokemon game is slated to be the first true title as it will bring players to a whole new region; and won’t focus on the Pokemon Go mechanics as heavily. Much like many of the entries on this list, little has been revealed; however a late 2019 release has been confirmed!
