One of the most highly-anticipated offerings this holiday season, Titanfall 2 looks to improve and build upon many of the great qualities found in the original Titanfall, released in 2014, while also addressing many of the negative aspects that quickly dwindled the playerbase into near extinction. With the beta for Titanfall 2 right around the corner, unpleasant news about the PC beta was just announced today. It seems as though the PC master race will not be receiving any beta access for the upcoming title, while Playstation 4 and Xbox One users will still be able to get an early taste of Titanfall 2.
According to a blog post from Respawn Entertainment founder and CEO Vince Zampella, “hardware variety & ‘min spec’ optimization” were the two issues leading the decision to cancel the PC beta. Zampella also went on to note, “we feel this allows us to concentrate on the real purpose of the tech test and focus on server stability and scalability”.
Titanfall 2 seems to have created a more refined multiplayer experience this time around, combined with a single-player campaign not found in original title. Titanfall 2 arrives on Windows PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One October 28.
