While we’ve seen a lot of new characters for the upcoming Injustice 2, we finally get some insight into the game’s story in the game’s latest trailer.

In the latest trailer titled Shattered Alliances Part 1, we see Superman attempting to rise in power to once again build the Regime. Showcasing former friends, turned foes sets up the perfect battleground for the upcoming war. Friends become foes, and enemies become friends in Injustice 2.

Injustice 2 launches May 16th for PS4, Xbox One, and Mobile.
