2K and Gearbox have announced and released a free trial for their competitive multiplayer shooter Battleborn that allows players to enjoy the game “without any limits or level caps”.

Those looking to play Battleborn can download the title now on the PS4, Xbx One, and Steam and begin playing with a rotating group of six heroes; 30 offered in the full game. When the group of characters rotates, the progression for the heroes will remain; allowing you to retain any upgrades for when they become available once again.

To ensure fairness for new players, new players will be grouped together with other new players until they reach rank 20. Upon reaching said rank, players will join the Novice Queue and play with everyone.

Those who’ve purchased the title before today will be upgraded to the Founder status offering in-game currency and flair!
