That’s right, the wait is finally over; we’re getting a new Borderlands game!

After weeks of teasers from Gearbox, we finally get a kick-ass trailer labeled Mask of Mayhem. The trailer showcases a fly-through of murals that one would expect to be aspects of the upcoming game.

Now you may be wondering why it isn’t blatantly labeled as the 3rd entry in the series, however this was expected. The CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, stated in an interview that when it comes to the title Borderlands 3 “We don’t even know if we’re going to call it that.”. Rest assured, Gearbox has confirmed that work was being done on Borderlands 3 for a while, so Mask of Mayhem isn’t likely to be a dlc, or expansion to prior games.
