The Monster Hunter movie has been met with a large amount of concern as the movie as undergone production and for good reason. To help remove the concern from fans of the series, a video showcasing the comparison to the game has been made and it has me excited. The movie’s director, Paul W.S. Anderson, has apparently had the both the game’s director (Kaname Fujioka) and producer (Ryozo Tsujimoto) involved in the monster creation process. This involvement is shown in how similar the monster look in the movie to the game counterparts. The monsters look great, really capturing the appearance down to what looks like the smallest details which should be a good sign of things to come for the movie.

For me personally, it’s the script that has me worried as it gives off Resident Evil movie vibes which is extremely concerning. We’re staying hopeful that the movie does the game justice when it releases this Dcember (however with COVID, things are could change).
