Will the sales of Yakuza spinoff Judgement continue? We really hope so!

At this moment, the future for Judgement is up in the air as Sega ends both physical and digital sales for the game due to drug usage. Pierre Taki (Kyohei Hamura in Judgement), has been arrested for alleged cocaine use. While this may seem like a strange reason to halt sales of the game, Japan has quite strict drug control laws.

While there is still no word on whether the Western versions of the game will release, the timetable for sales to continue in Japan are just as unsure. Sega released a news release on the topic stating:

“Sega has received the arrest reports and are currently confirming the facts, but for the time being, we will voluntarily refrain from shipments and digital sales of [Judgment], as well as from things like posting on the product’s homepage. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause for customers, as well as the parties involved.”
