The highly anticipated Super Mario Maker 2 gets a rather close release date, and we’re fine with that!

The surprise announcement of Super Mario Maker 2 during the February Nintendo Direct event just got surpassed as an even bigger surprise with the game’s release date. The sequel to highly addictive creation platformer is slated to release June 28th. The game will follow much of the emphasis of the first game by creating your own Mario experience and sharing with the community with some additions. Mario Maker 2 will include elements from Super Mario 3D World, introduce slope and angled surfaces, and fixes to many of the game’s existing mechanics.
