What Yakuza news could we hear on December 8th?

While there have been a lot of gaming rumors floating around the past few days, an announcement regarding Yakuza is anything but that. Greg Miller, host of Kinda Funny Games, posted on Twitter asking Sega if they wanted to announce something regarding Yakuza on the Kinda Funny Game Show. Sega then responded with “You know what, you’ve convinved us. Sure!”. While what the announcement deals with has yet to be determined, however there are some possibilities.

The first possibility is the announcement of the release date for Yakuza Kiwami for PC. Originally released on the PS4 in the west in 2017, Yakuza Kiwami has revitalized the franchise; bringing it to new levels of popularity. Since then, SEGA has announced that Kiwami would be coming to Steam, however the release date has yet to be announced. May we finally get a release date?

Possibility 2 is that Yakuza Kiwami 3 (and hopefully 4 and 5) get a localization announcement. Currently, Yakuza Kiwami 3 has not received a release date for the west. With the incredible popularity the franchise has seen in recent years, it would be a travesty for the rest of the games in the series to not receive a western release.
