You asked for it, and you got it! Yakuza Kiwami 2 is coming to North America this year.

With the release of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life quickly approaching, Sega has officially announced another title that we’ve been waiting for; Yakuza Kiwami 2 will finally come to North America August 28th, 2018.

Following the events of the original title, the Omi Alliance (rival clan to Kiryu’s Tojo Clan) faces turmoil. Led by the game’s main villan, Ryuji Goda, a coup creates ongoing conflicts that bleed onto the streets of Kamurocho.

For those who have completed the original version of the game, Kiwami 2 includes a new campaign titled The Truth of Goro Majima which follows the eye-patched madman himself to gap the events between Yakuza 1 & 2 on how Majima became the construction business tycoon.
